Can anyone help me with my grammar please?

In the paragraph below, I don't know whether i should write the word "instantly" or "instantaneously":



Striding confidently out the door trying her best not to look suspicious, she gripped the pistol as tightly as she could, keeping it slightly behind her back so no one would notice. Her hands were moistening. Her head was throbbing. She suddenly became aware of every bone in her body. Her eyes narrowed as she placed her hand on Mademoiselle Danielle’s door handle, gradually turning it to open. When it was in the right position she gave it a solid sudden push, swinging the door open; (instantaneously or instantly) holding the pistol at arms length ready to shoot

you don't need either of them. it sounds better without the additional word.
