I have a 2003 DOHC 2.0L Ford Focus wagon.
The radiator hose leading from the block to the radiator blew out and my engine over heated although I turned the engine off within a minute of to of the hose blowing. I replaced the hose and the thermostat housing unit which was cracked. There does not appear to be any leaks, however, after running the engine for until the temp gauge in the car was looking about normal for my car, and driving the car around the block when I open the hood it looked like steam or smoke was coming from the radiator area.
Is this normal or is there something wrong with my radiator?
The temp garage looked normal for the whole trip and held normal once I was back in the garage before I turned the engine off.
