I have windows media player, and burning CDs has never been a problem. I recently had my computer fixed. Now that I have it back, it's not letting me burn CDs. I had this program "Roxio" and that burned CDs also but I never used it, I always used WMP. I uninstalled Roxio thinking that was the problem why WMP wasn't letting me burn CDs. It's not. I insert a blank CD and "my computer" pops up with a window for the blank CD and Windows Media Player just has another "folder" on the left side for "blank CD" but the it is not reading or taking it in when I'm in the burn tab. I don't understand why it wouldn't be taking the CD. I insert it and WMP just says 'please insert blank CD'. So if anyone has any idea what is going on, please help me!
