Hi can anyone help? I've been feeling quite poorly lately. I have a below normal and still falling White blood count and something wrong with the clotting. Swollen glands under my arms, in my groin and in my neck. I've also been experiencing night sweats and joint pain ( although I have fibromyalgia so this is not unusual) and I've noticed little red spots on my legs. My doctor has sent me for a chest x-ray and has also refered me to a haemotologist. She said she didn't know what could be wrong but I suspect she may have been fibbing. Can anyone help.

Hi and sorry to hear you are not feeling well.Have they tested you for lympoma, non hodgkins, leukemias.Mono, epstein barr??I have fibromylagia also and it can make you feel scary sick. There were periods of time through life that I really thought I had cancer and other serious illnesses. It ended up in the end being one of the many odd symtoms of fibro.I have swollen glands right now also. They actually even hurt. But I am In a fibro flareup Due to the weather changing alot right now,I believe.I also will get teenie little red spots on my legs and upper arms. They will look like someone pricked me with a billion little needles or that I sweated blood through my pores.Strange huh?But fibro is an somewhat odd/strange illness.I hope you feel better.I hope this other doctor can get to the bottom of your health problems.Stay positive.Thinking of you and sending you light, love and health. :0)

Hi, thanks for your reply. They've tested for lupus, rhumatiod arthirtus and other auto immune illnesses also thyroid problems. I've had loads of blood tests over the last couple of months and another one due on sep 1. The doctor won't say specifically what they are testing me for now just that they are testing. I've had Fibro for 8 years and I've never felt like this but I guess it could be that still. The glands have been coming up gradually over the last couple of months and the tiredness has been slowly getting worse as well.

The bad thing si with the tests is alot of them show negative results with autoimmune illnesses.sometimes one test for maybe specifically lupus or something will have to be done several times be fore it shows positive.I know I have alot of lupus symptoms also. One time in 2001 the doctor I was generally seeing was not in his office. So I went to a clinic up the street from me.I felt like hell.they tested my blood and said I had antinuclear antibodies in my blood. That day they wanted me to join their clinic and sign papers to have my medical papers sent over to them.I did not want to do that for I had a doctor that I liked at the time.So this clinic never would give me much more info when i called back.I researched and found on my own that antinuclear antibodies in a higher titer means you can have lupus.i was in some sort of flareup also at the time.I have been tested over the years once or twice for RA and stuff.Nothing has showed up for that either. My blood work now always seems to come back negative.it is frustrating.I get strange skin rashes when i have flares.I get so achey, especially in the hips that I can barely get out of bed.usually if I get a cold,or undue stress,as by a holiday I will have a bad flare. But it is sort of confusing, because I dont know exactly what the flareup is.Is it from Fibro?something else autoimmune.?i think it stinks that they can go to the moon,do all kinds of things, but they cant come up with a solid test to see what we have.Auggghhhh.it is so frustrating.I am about 40 now,but when i was in my 20's it seemed to be really bad.It was bad in my 30's too.I woould get bad flares every month around my period.Since i have been on Ultram,I dont have periods very often which is a tremendous help.for I dont have to dread every month waiting for a flareup. One of the side effects of ultram is menopausal symptoms.I can live with that.if I would get off the meds,my periods would start every month again.Dont need that right now.I also have had blood pressure problems since my 20's.And overactive adrenal.Anxiety.Iwas never heavy either, and have been a vegetarian forever ,so i think my blood pressure issues were due to the fibro or whatever it is I have.Keep us posted on what you find out.Ad I reallly, truly hope you do feel better.Seding you light, love, and health! :0)
