Can anyone give me tips on how to better play songs that use alternate palm muting?

I've been playing metal for some time now, and one of the only techniques I have trouble with time and time again is when alternate palm muting is used. As an example, this riff in "Barbarian" by August Burns Red uses what I'm talking about.

Any suggestions? I know I need to practice more, and begin slowly and work my way up to speed. I'm looking for more of a guided answer than that basic idea.
