Ridiculous is the idea that one person deserves health care where another does not. It should be a basic human right.
On illegal immigrants...why do you think they're illegal? Why do you think they left the country of their birth to come there and start again? Capitalism has created and is maintaining inequalities the world over and some poor people are brave enough to pick up sticks and face the wrath of the comparatively rich in other countries so that they have a better chance in life. The USA used to welcome immigrants with open arms and is built on their hard work.
This migration is happening all over the world as the poor see it as the only way to survive.
Man's humanity is dwindling at a terrible rate as you all bitch about who's stealing from who.
And for an encore Daisy Cake will tell us where she picked up those statistics...

It doesn't make sense to me either. You can't compare the two types of insurance. On top of that, people are still driving without insurance. Happens all the time. I don't know the figures on how many Americans have cars, but my guess would be about 50%. People in the city, older people, and people that never have driven. I personally know all 3 types.
Good point. Of course I could just site the analogy that everyone is required to pay into the SS system or that everyone must pay taxes. There are dozens of analogies one can make, but look at it this way ...

You're absolutely correct. Obama is using empty logic... which only works with his empty-headed followers.
Consider, for a moment, that citienship is the same as owning a car. If you own a car its a requirement to carry insurance on it, then the same reasoning can be applied to citizenship... If you claim citizenship in the US then you are required to purchase Health Insurance, If you choose to NOT claim citizenship in the US then you are illegal, and Obama has already said that this Health Insurance provision won't cover illegals.
Following this reasoning, we then turn our attention to the REX 84 fEMA detention camps. Any person NOT claiming citizenship in the US automatically becomes a suspect and is deported to one of these detention camps, where they are held interminably and without just casue, because.... you aren't a citizen.
There you'll be subjected to mistreatment and enhanced interrogation techniques that arent classified as torture and are considered Constitutioinal because 1. youre not a citizen and 2. youre an enemy noncombatent and therefore are not covered by the rules of engagement.
You'll remain there until you swear allegiance to the flag (just not under god) and declare your love and impending marriage to your openly gay, child abusing ex priest cellmate.
Then all will be well

You are right about mandatory health insurance being ridiculous. No one that is for it can justify it. They will just attack you like the first answer. They have no answers. There are only personal attacks that have no basis in place of any thing of substance.

Care in those countries is rationed - with exceptionally long waits for treatment that we expect to receive within days or weeks. Some people die while waiting for their turn for treatment.
Additionally, "death panels" (no they're not really called that) decide when a patient is no longer viable for life. The symptoms they use to decide this can be brought on by their medication - for instance, a drug induced fog is intrepreted as a sign of dementia, and food and water are then withheld. Nice, eh? Not just withheld, DENIED.
Let's find those millions in waste in Medicare and Medicaid and use them to prop up the high-risk pools in each state. Remember, we're talking about destroying a medical system that works for 85% of the population, to provide for the 8% that really need help.
