bit of erotica in it? I want to get my girlfriend a good book for christmas and she likes these kind of books. She has mentioned authors like Dianna Gabaldon, kate forsythe and jean M Auel so if anyone out there has some good ones please let know. Many Thanks
 
It's been a long time since I've read that type of book, but when I was reading them, Skye O'Malley by Bertrice Small (and the rest in the whole Skye O'Malley saga) were the ones I enjoyed the most. They're historic romance.

The Flame and the Flower by Kathleen Woodiwiss was also one of my favorites.
