Can Android applications(games)can be downloaded from Andriod market via PC like...

...how iPhone does? I had bought this handphone Motorola Milestone recently.Later only i found out that it comes with Android applications.Android is TOTALLY new for me!After buying it with internet plan(12GB internet bundle)from STARHUB i tried to find ways to put applications in it.I found out about this Andriod market and it says that if i want to download applications,i must download it from Andriod Market in my handset.But my friends say downloading applications via the handset will cost a lot!!I don't dare download anymore applications,scared that the cost will exceed from the above plan(12GB per month).Can someone tell me are there any way to download applications first to PC and later only put in my handset or downloading applications with handset(if THIS is the ONLY way)will REALLY cost alot???????I REALLY NEED HELP TO THIS becoz buying this phone is USELESS without any applications.somemore i m just a secondary students,i must try not to exceed from plan limited GB
