Can an Airsoft AEG hold its own against a paintball gun?

I am considering buying an Airsoft m4 aeg 420fps for military training. Like it cause it is realistic design, allowing me to "train as I fight". Also has capability to fire 6mm paintballs. I will be using it against Soldiers utilizing paintball guns. Is this pausable, or wishful thinking?
 
Wishful thinking. You'll wind up with a very expensive (PTW??) pile of painty ruined gun.

If you want to play paintball, use a paintball gun.
