can americans join the israeli army?

i just got home from marine bootcamp a couple weeks ago. i was doing really well there until they found out i have asthma and discharged me. i have wanted to go to combat since i can remember. i am part jew, and i actually believe that israel is fighting for a better cause than we are. anyways. if anyone knows if americans are able to join the israeli army, and how...can u please help me?..thanks
