Can allergies cause hoarsness?

Hello all! Ok, we just moved from the midwest to a place that rains A LOT! The problem is, I have allergies and asthma. We have been here less than a couple of months and most of the days, it has rained. My voice keeps going hoarse off and on. I feel fine, it's just part of the day my voice is fine and then it starts going hoarse. When I cough, sometimes it's dry and sometimes it sounRAB wheezy. Does this sound like allergies? Can allergies play with the voice like that or do you think its some kind of infection? We don't have medical insurance yet (new job) so, I'm trying to help myself here.

Any replies will be greatly appreciated!:)

Allergies can DEFINITELY cause hoarseness; they can raise the dickens with the ears, nose, eyes and throat as well as balance. Hope this is of some help.
