can all denim jeans be altered?

I lost 20 pounds after having my baby. I'm pretty happy with my size i just need to tone up a little more. But with my weight lose my husband has offered to take me shopping to celebrate. (I have had a lot of trouble with weight in the past). I'm at a 13/14 (gotta a lot of butt and thigh), if I lose more weight or tone up a littler more will they be able to alter my jeans? My goal size is 9/10.

I think you might even be able to get a discount if you have several pairs that need altering. My local dry cleaners was able to take in some of my jeans and they did a great job. It was really great because the alterations made the jeans fit me even better than they would have off the rack because they were adjusted for my body. If you have a good tailor near you, it shouldn't be a problem.

Congratulations on your baby!

It might be tricky altering the waist and then the legs and butt area. I'm no expert so I suggest that you go to a tailor or alteration shop and ask the tailor if jeans can be altered depending on how you want to fit. You'll have to alter the waist, thigh and butt area.

Though you should get some new jeans to celebrate. A new pair of jeans makes me feel great. Congratulations!
