Can Adobe Flash and Shockwave both be ran concurrently without any contradictory

problems? I guess I should just elaborate here a bit so I don't have to be restricted by character question allowance. I'm completely freakin confused. I have Windows Vista OS. Browser: Mozilla Firefox. I now understand, thank you Yahoo user "Jason" and "Hotwheels" between the two software programs.

I can watch instant videos online (YT, ESPN, CNN, etc.) no problem; however, occasionally certain websites will notify me that they don't recognize any instance of Adobe Flash Player being installed.

I've looked under "tools-options-plugins" and can only locate Shockwave. I look under Computer-Program files and in my Adobe folder all I have is Acrobat Reader. Also, under program files I cannot locate anything for Shockwave.

So if what Hotwheels states is true is that you must have Adobe Flash to be able to view most online video files then why can I not locate it?

I guess a final question would be this. I'm going to d/l Adobe, but if I already have it, would my newest download override any instances of a previous program or would it cause any contradictions?

Truly..Confuzzled

Try installing Flash again from the Adobe web site, to get the latest version.

And sorry, I forgot that yes, in the Firefox plugins, its still refers to Flash as "Shockwave."

But ignore that. You want Flash from Adobe, latest version.
