I got an amazing internship with the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C.
I'm hearing two things right now:
* From the Dept of Education: Eligibility for financial aid is determined by your university.
* From my university: Under federal rules, you have to complete your degree in 8 semesters.
So I can't take a fall internship? I'm a senior now, and if what my university says is correct, then skipping out on one semester will force me to graduate with only one degree instead of two.
I'm confused. Who should I believe and what should I do because both sides are saying different things. Surely I won't take off for a semester if my university won't renew my financial aid for another semester to complete my second major.
yeah, i forgot to add an important detail. the department of education says that you don't have to finish in 8 semesters, that aid eligibility is determined by your school's financial aid department.
which, seems to contradict.
