Recently got a Volvo '02 S60 T5. Car has the optional 235/45/17s on it - and of course they rub when making tight turns - known issue with the model/year
These tires need replacing anyways. My Q is - Am I correct in assuming the OE 215/55/16 could be better - and won't be worse - regarding the rubbing issue, and can I get the 215/55/16 w/o needing new rims?

So follow up Q: any reason why I should not go with a smaller 17 inch tire?
