I have took a pregnancy test and it showed up negative, i haven't had a period for 5 weeks now, breasts are tender and i just thought it was my period coming but nothing as yet!!!!!

i would take another test , if that comes up negative wait it out a week or two. If you still dont get your period take a test again after that got o the doctor sometime some women dont produce hormones

I would suggest trying one more home test just to see. Either way, a trip to your OB wouldn't hurt...especially if it turns out you're not pregnant but are that irregular.

Yes, you can get false positives as you can get false negatives.

Take the test again in 2 or 3 days and if you still aren't sure go to a doctor.

You will never get a false positive but a good number of women get false negatives a blood test from you local clinic would be much more defintive
