Can a PC screen work on a iMac?

I've got two computer: a PC and iMac. The PC screen isn't showing anything. Can I connect the PC screen to the iMac to see if it works?
 
I don't think so, the iMacs use a different varient of VGA. And if what I've seen by searching on google, it definatelly does not look like a standard PC VGA port. Also, why would they do something like that if the iMac has its own monitor?
