can a man who only wanted sex be your friend after you say no?

a co-worker and i gotten really close.....talking about our private life. everything was going well, until i started to have feelings for him and then i found out he only wanted sex. I told him i could not act on my feelings and he got mad and wouldnt talk to me for 2 weeks. now we chat sometimes but he only gives me short answers. he told me im a pleasure ot know and a good person. he also says he likes talking to me because i listen to him. how can we be friends when he puts a wall up between us., we are not close anymore. but he wants me to be there to "listen to him"..what gives?????? i dont get it..
 
Not in my experience. When a girl I want to sleep with rejects me, it's difficult to try to be totally platonic.

I don't think it's how most guys are wired.
 
Yes it is possible, it depends on how mature he is, by his responses he isn't very mature.

You need to work together first and foremost, so as long as it isn't' effecting your professional life I wouldn't worry about it, his loss.
 
Why would you want to be friends with a walking penis who only wants you for your body? Take a hint and treat him like a fellow employee, you owe him nothing more than that.
 
If he wont hardly talk to you anymore because you wont have sex with him then he isn't much of a friend.

If i was you i wouldn't bother with him anymore he isn't worth it.
