Can a Hifonics BXi1610D amp push a kicker L7 15" good or do I need a bigger amp?

I'M LOOKING TO BUY ONE KICKER L7 15" THAT IS 2,000 watt Peak / 1,000 watt RMS AND 2-Ohm Impedance AND I WANTED TO KNOW IF A HIFONICS BRUTUS BXi1610D AMP WOULD PUSH THE L7 GOOD? WOULD A SEALED BOX OR A PORTED BOX BE BETTER?

If you're going to run it true 2 ohm, you'll need to get a dual 4 ohm L7 (wire the dual voice coils in parallel).

The Hifonics BXi1610D will run it fine.

Definitely recommend a ported enclosure for an L7 - particularly with a 15".
 
I'd personally throw it in a slot port box which will be louder but a sealed box would be deeper bass...its all up to what you like!
