Can a Flash drive kill the speed on a computer? My internet is crap!?

I've recently been getting more essays and projects this year in school. Since my computer doesn't have a printer, i decided to buy a flash drive to store information anywhere. Before I put it on, my internet was fast. But now, after inserting it, my internet is crap! It takes a long while just to open up a page. Does the flash drive have something in it that slows computers? Please give me suggestions.
 
Flash drive does not slow down internet unless during the moment when it was store or copy information from your computer,or your computer is quite slow (cpu = 1 Ghz or lower). Some flash drive like Scan-disk contains a software called U3,it popups another exploror to go online,it might slow down the internet (because two exploror were opened at the same time and your line is quite slow and running with an outdated slow computer).
One more last possibility is the flash drive contains "flash drive virus".
