can a doctor tell if someone had sex one time like 5 months prior to the doctors visit?

My friend is in this pickle and doesn't want her mom to know, shes 18 so even if the doctor can tell, he cant tell her mom right? what i really wanna know is can the doctor tell if she has had sex 5 months prior to the doctors visit, not only to answer her question but im actually curious myself as to how good he doctors are with this stuff?!?!? please help! Only serious and thoughtful answers only! if you have something rude, unthoughtful or mean to say, don't say anything at all!!! thanks in advance! :-)
 
The doctor can tell to some extent whether the hymen has been broken, if broken this is what causes the female to bleed usually during sex. However, other things can cause the hymen to be broken such as horse back riding, even inserting a tampon.

Your friend doesn't have anything to worry about. If she is to see the doctor alone, the doctor has a patient confidentiality where he/she cannot tell anyone anything about the parent, unless of course they are under age. I think at age 16 a girl can go in to a doctor by herself to get birth control. It's also important though to be honest to your doctor, if he/she knows your lying about things it can affect the prescription he/she is giving you.
