i hired a contractor to fix a leaky roof. I do still have an outstanding bill because the work was unsatisfactory, and i had to hire someone else to complete the job. My parents hired the same contractor for some work and he discussed my bill with them, stating he was going to take me to court. to avoid court, my parents paid the bill. Isn't there a privacy law that prohibits him from doing this? and who would i report him to? he is not a member of the BBB.
