Can a company be sued for unauthorized charges to your bank account?

Direct TV charged an early cancelation fee to my bank account but it was unauthorized by me. The late fee was improperly recorded on my account and after over 4 phone calls to remove it and assurance it was, in fact, removed, I was charged.

Now the balance they owe to me is not showing up on my online account and even when/if it does, I have to wait 6-8 weeks for a refund. To me, if the roles were reversed, and I had not paid my bill for 6-8 weeks, my credit would be damaged or maybe it would be turned over to a collection agency.

What can I do to recoup the money owed, and is there any legal grounds our boundaries that protect my bank account?
Maybe I should clarify- the charge was improperly coded as we had contractual ground for canceling or service.

1. We had 2 crews verify in our new home there was no line of sight.

2. I called to verify the work order went through as such.

3. I called when I noticed the charge was still showing. They confirmed I shouldn't be charged.

4. Called again because it wasn't showing- they said it was an error that had been fixed.

4. My bank account was dipped into my account.

I never said they could dip into my account, I never should have been charged. It is my understanding I am lending them over $200.00 in a short term loan.
