Can a college see what's on your web cam?

I go to college and use college supplied wifi. While I know this means they (the college) can track my downloads and what sites I visit, can they see what goes on during a web cam conversation?

Some basic notes:
This is not a school-supplied web cam or laptop
I will be using skype as my primary method of web cam chat
