Can a college coach revoke a scholarship after a player's freshman year because he is

not performing well? Alright, I attend Purdue and there is one basketball player on the team who many people here don't like. I will not mention names but if he just flat out is not good...and is not performing can a coach just revoke his scholarship and offer it to a new incoming freshman, or one of the walk ons? Or are academic performance and criminal problems the only reason a kid can lose scholarship?
