Can a child/young adult in full time education get legal aid?

For example, if a young adult were to sue a parent say, but they're in full time education still or unemployed or whatever, can they get legal aid? And if not, how do young people sue people or how can they be legally represented if they obviously cannot afford to pay for a lawyer? There has to be some way of getting a lawyer if you're too young to have a job or are in full time education etc, right?
Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.
PS- Parents paying for the lawyer is clearly not an option in the above example before anybody mentions that!
PPS- sensible_man, you sound American. In UK we have a thing called legal aid and certain people are eligible to it, such as retired people (I think...), and this is what I am asking. Are young people eligible under any circumstances?
PPPS- Other than being 18, what else do you have to be in order to be eligible? Still in full time education/unemployed/etc?
