can a career violent habitual offender who re offends be sent back to jail?

can a person who has been declared a violent offender, who was on community control for 2 years and also on probation, but is rearrested for violation of his probation; assault with a deadly weapon;assaulting a police officer. what would his sentencing be?
 
Depends on where he is arrested, but typically, the probation would be revoked and the offender would finish his sentence in jail.

And, if he was convicted on the new charges, he'd do that sentence, too.
