I used a bondsman to get my friend out of jail. I paid him with a check, & due to circumstances out of my control, the money was not in the account & the check bounced. He is harassing me, won't listen to my attempts to explain, and he showed up at my work today. He said if I don't pay him by 11 am, he will issue warrants for both me & the person he got out of jail. I know he could sue me, but can he have me put in jail? I am about to file bankruptcy, I am meeting with my lawyers on Wednesday about it.
Can a bondsman issue a warrant?
