can a 24' above ground pool be turned into a fish pond?

I have a 24' above ground swimming pool that we dont swim in any more.
I have wanted to put fish in it, possibly a few frogs and water plants.
Has any one else ever done this?? and what has been the outcome?
It doesn't have to stay sparkling clear, thou I have a pump and filter.
my questions are:
#1 will the vinyl liner emit fumes that could be toxic to fish, plants or frogs?
#2 will the fish destroy the vinyl liner, either fish spines tearing the liner or fish trying to eat the liner
#3 if geese or ducks get in the pool, will their feet tear the vinyl liner, I will put a ramp in the water if I introduce water fowl.
#4 I will not be using chlorine in the water, but am I supposed to put other chemicals in a fish pond?
#5 how often am I supposed to vaccuum it, if ever
Thanks
