...alternator failure? I had the same amp/sub setup in an 02 escort and my alternator went bad. Now i have a 2000 mitsubishi eclipse with the same exact subwoofers and amplifiers in it and my car seems to be doing the exact same thing as my escort. The car seems like it wants to die when it comes to stops or am letting the car idle. i was told that my alternator was only pushing 30 amps out of the 90 that it should be using from the local autozone and they said it could be going bad. They also said that the more i drive it that the lower the amps it will be pushing out. I have disconnected my power wire from the battery so my subs are now not working. Could it be the amplifier or subwoofers causing my alternators to fail? if not what could it be??
can a 2000 watt blackmore amp hooked to two twelve inch kicker cvr subwoofers cause...
