Camping with a 19 month old... What would you do, what would you pack?

I am not a camper. I never camped as a kid, it wasn't my family's style. To me it sounds dreadful and an accident waiting to happen with a 19 month old.

My mom and step-dad have planned a mandatory 5 day 4 night camping trip for all of us, and while yes, I do realize I could say no, I'd never hear the end of it. My lucky husband has to work, so he gets out of going. Not fair.

So if you were going camping for that long with a child this young, what would you do to keep your child busy and happy while there, what would you pack to be sure you have everything you could possibly need, etc.

Also, my daughter has food allergies so we keep children's benedryl in the house per the pediatricians orders. The bottle ALWAYS leaks, always is sticky, etc. Has anyone used those benedryl perfect measure portable spoons? Do they stay sealed pretty well? I need a non-sticky way to travel.
 
We've been camping with our son since he wsa 5 months old, and have a few tricks. Get a small box, and pack his favorite toys in it, and keep it accesible through the whole trip--drive time included. Sleeping bags are pointless. They wiggle out of them in the night over and over, and wake you up over and over when they are cold. instead, make a pallet of a sleep pad, covered with a few fluffy blankets, then cover him with a sleeping bag. And don't forget his pillow; it's a security thing. He'll feel more like he's at home with his pillow. If you can, buy lots of drink boxes--apple juice, milk (yes, milk--check in the dry milk section of the grocery store), and Kool-Aide. And go to Target or Walmart and get one of those juice box holders-- it will keep him from squeezing it all over hinmself, and in turn will cut back on the bugs.
 
i would say no a child that age could be a pain to go with!!
but ifu do i would pack a verity of clothes warm cold
lots of toy!!!!
and lots of bug spray!!
i know my 6 year old sister would be wining bout the bugs!!
i would get the perfect measurs ie never used them but im sure the'll be fine
