camping in whistler during the olympics?

Okay I am an avid skiier and college student. I am trying to make it up to whistler for the olympics next february. unfortunately my wallet is handicapping me a bit. I will be traveling from the east coast of the u.s. so driving isnt an option. if i do get a plane ticket i am considering camping in whistler. yes i know its february. does anyone have any thoughts on the best method of carrying this plan out (i.e. where to camp etc.)? yes i know its cold too
