Camping in Catalina Island what do i need to take since I need to take ferry?

I want to know which is the best camping site...wats the best way to get there? What do i take.. since i do aarive their carless on the ferry....
Planning to go on a weekend... for my bday me and my boyfriend...
Camping 4th of July weekend
