Hi, I am one of the millions of people with diabetes, and my A1C is a little on the high side. My mom and dad are sending my to Camp Sweeney, and I couldn't be more afraid. I see all the fun things you can do, but i'm not very social, and I have no clue what i'm going to do. Please give me information on your experiences at Camp Sweeney, thanks.

P.S. I have a Freestyle Light blood glucose machine, and it gives me crazy reading (Like one second it will say my blood sugar is 150, and when I retest it will say 220 or something) If anyone knows what's wrong with it please tell me. (I also woke up one day and was shaking, tested my blood sugar with Accu-check, and it was 74. Then tested with Freestyle Light, and got 202)

Here, if you checked on TWO DIFFRENT meters, maybe thats why your getting crazy readings.
Okay, when you got your meter, did you get a little red bottle that had fake blood? If you did, drop some on your finger and take a little 'test' reading, Its just taking a blood test, but with fake blood!
And here's how to tell if your meter is being accurate or not. If you look on the bottle of your test strips, there are small numbers on the bottem.
Here's an example::
Mine says ;93-124 mg/dL

Whenever you put that little drop of fake blood into the strip, whatever number that has shown up thats your number. If its between the numbers shown on your test strip bottle, then your readings are accurate. But if its lower or higher than the numbers on the bottle, then you have a problem.
Contact your docter ASAP!!

But about Camp Sweeny, I've never been there. :/ But im going next year. lol
I hope that helped! (:
