Camp Rock

Ive watched it 3-4 times since it first aired on friday and i think its great,my kiRAB actually sit quiet from the beginning of the film till the end,its not too long and has only a few songs in it instead of it being mostly singing like in HSM.Joe is a very good actor and Demi is very good playing Mitchie, she has a fab voice and her song at the end with Joe was fab....not as good as HSM i admit but its still pretty damn good! :)

i aint really watched it but i for some reason flicked to see the last hals hour. just to see what all the fuss was about. and guess what half an hour was enough to realise it was an exact copy of high scholl muscial an not a good one at that.

lets see we have the blonde rich popular girl - not sure her name but is a sharpay clone and we have the new girl who has latin roots - like gabrielle oh and the popular guy who the popular gilr wants to get with but we all know he was gonna end up with the new girl oh and theyd do a cheesy song at thee end. the only good thing was the new girls best friend shes a real good dancer in the film.

Disney got 1.5 million viewers for Camp Rock. That is totally amazing for a cable channel and also the fact the film sucked.

I thought it was okay. I enjoyed the music, most of which I'd already heard on radio disney.

I enjoyed watching it but I won't neccessarily hurry to re-watch it.

The pictures don't seem to work.

When you say widescreen, do you mean you get the black bars top and bottom, even on a wide screen tv?

I never understand that, films started to get filmed in widescreen so TVs were made widescreen, then when you watch a widescreen show, you still get the black bars, whats the point??

But to the film i didn't think it was bad, its the sort of film you can just sit down to watch any time of the day, bit like most DCOMs

I thought it was alright, but very high school musical. The song this is me is annoyingly catchy though. Good dancing too, liked especially the lead girls friend although she was always gonna be good as she was the girl from the missy elliot videos. Really didn't like the two other jonas brothers bits, they were just very unfunny.

Give it another try:

When I say widescreen, I mean that it is not a 4:3 picture ratio with black bars added which is still done by Disney Channel UK. Widescreen can be 1,85:1 with no bars on a 16:9 screen as well as 2,35:1 with additional bars.

This wider picture ratio of 2,35:1 was meant to be for cinemas which have a wider image area than our TVs at home. A majority of today's movies are filmed in 2,35:1, some TV stations zoom it so that they fit to ordinary TV sets without bars - whilst losing picture information on the left and right side.
