Camera phone at least 1.3MP and FAST RESPONSE

I currently have a Samsung SGH-E720. What I really like about it is its fast response camera. Even in 1152x768 resolution and best quality, I press the shutter, it takes the photo right then and there. Granted, the shutter speed is a little slow so photos sometimes end up smeared or stretched. Only thing is, I have had this phone a long time and feel it may be time to upgrade.

Anyway, I have tried the camera in several other phones: RAZR V3c, V3m, Samsung SGH-D500, D528, and PPC6700 PDA phone. In every one of those phones, there is significant lag between pressing the button and capturing the photo. That means you have to keep the phone and subject still for nearly 2-seconds (D500) or almost 3-seconds (PPC6700).

What camera phones with good photo quality have zero lag: press the button, it takes the photo, instantly, in its highest resolution?
 
2 RAZRs actually, they were cheap.

Did you edit your response? In the email notification you were were recommending a k790a. Do all recent SE phones have fast response cameras or just that one?

I forgot to mention my preference is for a compact clamshell/flip phone.
 
Agreed. You'd have to give up speed if you want good quality pics, especially from a 1.3MP camera. But I wouldn't know what you would think is good quality. You can try the S710a...that might be a little bulky for you, idk.
 
I had pretty good luck with LG's line for fast camera response. I can't say much for GSM version because sometime they use different hardware.
 
The s710 is a good phone. I never had any problems with it. Intuitive interface and loads of features. I finally switched it out though cause it was too bulky to carry around comfortably for me (kind of a brick). Also, it only supports up to 128mb memory card. I just got a Razr v3xx and picture response time is pretty good and the pic quality is too. I've never used other razrs so i don't know how they compare to the v3xx. Also, I have a LG CU500 and it's also a great cameraphone. It takes quick pics and has a rotating camera. The outer screen is better than on the v3xx. I still prefer the v3xx though (it's got a lot of mods available too )
