Camera issue

I upgraded my OS (4.5.0.52) a few days ago and tried to use the camera yesterday and got the "Could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again." error. When I open the video camera it will remain open for a few seconds and then close itself.

I closed everything I could did numerous battery pulls and I'm still having the same issue. I have a 2MB card and have 23098336 bytes free, so I know it's not a memory issue. I tried upgrading to the 4.5.0.69 OS and the problem continued. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any solutions?

I will be downgrading to the version T-Mobile has on their website, if the problem continues and I have to call customer service - is there any advice on what to say to get them to send me a new Curve and not a refurb? I paid full price (they didn't even give me the rebate..pfft) for my BB.. I don't want to send it in and get stuck with a used phone.

well i pretty sure its because the 4.5 is beta after all. plus i have the 8100 and had the same problem only wen i open the camera it would just shut off. so i just down graded
 
Alright I am new to Blackberry and also as you can tell new to the forum. I don't own a curve but i can tell you with the pearl 8100 4.5.052 the camera doesn't work well at all, I do know that there is 4.5.055 and the camera issue is fixed on mine. i found that OS on this website so i know it is out there. hope this helps. maybe some one can PM me on where to find some good apps and games. I am looking for a app that works like a contractors calculator.
 
I'm getting the same error message on my pearl , & I have the .055. I thought it was bc my bb got dunked in Koolaid a few days ago. Glad to know the camera malfunction is a software glitch & something I can fix!
