Ok, I am pregnant, and I am a crazy one with a camera... I have been known to take thousands of pictures of a single event. My aunt calls me Ms. Lebowitz, and my coworkers call me the paparazzi. And I'm quite good with a camera, so naturally, I can't wait to start documenting my baby's life through photography.
I was watching The Office episode, where Jan freaks out because Angela and Andy were taking pictures of her baby in the fruit basket (lol), saying that you can't use a flash with a baby. And I've heard relatives of ours give my sister crap because she lets us all take too many pictures of her baby with the flash, when really... we think it's a normal amount. We are growing up digital where we can snap away without wasting film until we get the perfect picture. Our older relatives only took one photo and if it was crap, they didn't want to waste a roll of film...
Also, I modelled when I was a baby, toddler and preschooler... and those photographers have some serious flashes, and those flashes with the big umbrellas... and I have 20/20 vision...
Can't find any, so I was wondering if any of you have seen an article or documentation that over flashing can harm a baby, how much flashing is too much? I'm obviously not going to continuously snap the flash, but how am I supposed to get a proper first picture of baby in the delivery room without one?
Thoughts are welcome too?
Thanks!
