...turning bike off a "burning? smell coming from my solnoid , blackrubber boot that covers solnoid was burnig i pulled the boot off and noticed the large dia post ?possitive was " burning red ", it actually got red !, i immeadeately disconnected the neg and pos at battery after seveal day's of trying my luck a diagnosis work, i decided to pull starter out oticed that starter gear was sheared as if t was jambed !, can you help in explaining what had been the cause and what repair or relacement needed , also can you tell me what color wires go to and from the relay , solnoid, and starter thank you dave.
