Atrain, you keep saying your riding style, was wondering what your riding style is. I mostly cruise around at 60mph or so somtimes 2 up, I like to have some fun with it sometimes but not drag racing, but punching it sometimes after a turn or slow curve. I am definitely doing the change late Jan when I get home but am trying to decide which cams too.

Bearing Removal/Install Tool - $90
Orings, cam cover gasket, bearings, cam spacers $50
Pushrods $145
Snap ring internal/external pliers $35
Bolt Cutters $20
Two TORCA clamps $20

So that is about $740 including tools. Labor would have been $375-$450 more.

You can save some cash if you sell the bearing removal tool later. I have not decided if I will sell mine or not.

What you described is similar to my riding style. When I get on it, I was wanting more mid-range power through the RPM range, opposed to off the line power. I don't drag race either. The Woods should give me exactly midrange zone I am hoping for with some bottom end boost. In fairness the 255 is fairly close but its dyno TQ curve starts a little earlier.

When I replaced my tensioners on my now traded in 05 Road King I also did the EZ install push rods but did not use lock tite on the lock nuts. I 2nd guessed it until I traded in so thats where my question came from. There doesn't seem to be a right or wrong way to do it. Based on the time you took to do a quality job I'm sure you'll have no problem.
Btw, I like what I've read about the Woods cam but I think the torque curve coming on sooner with the SE 255's may fit me better as most of my riding is under 4k rpm. Looking forward to your ride report.
