An extract of the last 30 years I think.

Going back to the original thread, what about;-

The Wild, Wild West
The Girl from UNCLE (mainly because I've only seen a couple of eps on YouTube)
The Omega Factor
Star Cops
and one of my all time favourites, ThunderbirRAB. (Surely one of the best theme tunes ever)

As for DVRAB and Videos at home (some probably not old enough to be called classic);-
Babylon 5
The excellent Firefly
The equally excellent first series of Murder One
The Persuaders (Thank you Tony Curtis in your smokey Ferrari Dino)
Between the Lines
Coupling
The absolutely sublime The West Wing

Lost in Space
Land of the Giants
Planet of the Apes

Heck you've named some real classics there!!, I always watched 77 Sunset Strip, I remember Cookie on that show but struggling after that. Adored The Beverly Hillbillies, liked Bonanza, loved I Love Lucy, never missed a show of Mr Ed, always watched The Untouchables with my father, thought The High Chaparral was fantastic, watched Hogan's Heroes, never missed The Lone Ranger and Alias Smith and Jones, wonderful wonderful memories.

What a fantastic channel that would be. Only trouble is, I would never get anything else done. Here's my list in no particular order.

Lassie (early ones with either Jeff or Timmy), this would be No. 1,
Fury,
The Human Jungle,
Marcus Welby M.D.,
The Thursday Play,
Within These Walls,
Very early Coronation Street episodes (like they used to show on Granada Plus)
Brookside,
First T.V. series of The Silver Sword (1950's),
Frost in May,
Beryl's Lot,
The Newcomers,
The Crez,
People Like Us,
To Serve Them All My Days,
The Children Of Green Knowe,
How We Used To Live (Schools programme),
A Taste of Honey (Schools programme),
Shaphire and Steel,
Budgie,
Ready Steady Go.

I'm sure there are many more that I can't bring to mind just now. I expect a lot of the above have been wiped. What great days of T.V. they were.

Ah yes! Adam Adamant! He was one of my first crushes along with Dr Kildare. Adam Adamant turned up on one of the satellite channels within the last year.

And Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) and of course Morcambe and Wise. Problem with showing Morecambe & Wise today, is you had to be there, and understand the calibre of people they were taking the mickey out of. Also, so many more comedians have come to our screens since that what was so original then, now seems old hat. The Morecambe & Wise show was an EVENT in our house, even though we missed most of it, being on the floor laughing our heaRAB off.

A huge amount of the shows listed in this thread are available on dvd although not always in the UK.

The Complete Boxset of both The Man From Uncle and Wild Wild West are out on US dvd.
Not sure about WWW but TMFU is coded for R2 aswell.
