Calling all Busa Riders :)

Hey peeps..

Looking for pics of you and your busa, especially all you custom jobs out there. I have an 06 dark blue and silver and I am desperately wanting some custom paint/air brush work done on it. Tell me what you guys paid for your custom paint jobs and if you want to give props for some business who did a good job, that would be great to.

Side note.. Anyone in the Birmingham Alabama area? Just moved here and trying to find some locals to ride with sometimes..

Thanks again

You're welcome. :)

In fact the quality of the work they do here are top class and this is THE company that started all this "graphics" trend. They can custom colors and designs if you prefer.

Let me know if you are really interested. I know them and they may not be able to communicate well in English in which case I can talk to them for you. In fact, dunno if they can do it outside of the country (may have rep shops since they did all those cars in the movie???)

Oh well, even if they don't, all those awesome graphics pics would be a nice reference.

Nice paint on those bikes....Cool!:bluethum: Customizing is getting really big here in the States. It's funny because I was just watching a show on Speed Channel "Super Bikes!" all about custom Sport Bikes at Black Bike Week in Myrtle Beach South Carolina . Really nice Bikes,Now they are are putting the Huge rear tires on them.

Any ya'll know a good site to buy accessories? I found only one 58cycle.com

Also.. and I hate to even ask this but this weekend I am putting on a small rider safety course for some younger teenage riders. I was thinking about putting together some kind of presentation showing awesome bikes but also showing some of the grousome bike wreck pictures. These guys are around 16 & 17 yrs old. What do ya'll think? Bad idea??

That sounds like a fun event!!
Huge rear tires?? I wonder how that would be like to actually "ride"?

Will go check it out! :bluethum:

I think that's a GREAT idea! :plus1:

Show them how much fun you can have with motorcycles but also show them the consequences of what can happen. Then you can teach them how to avoid getting involved in accidents themselves. You can talk about the importance of lots of things, including proper protective gear, and I am sure it will sink in their minds better.

I really think that is GREAT!! :bluethum:

I have been doing a search online for some pics but can't really find anything usefull.. anyone have anything I can use? I have only seen one really bad pic that was sent around a few months ago but I don't remember much about it except some guy dead on the road.. sad.. hated seeing it.

Kay.. your thinking the way I am about this.. I was going to go into how to select proper gear and why you should wear them... then go into some fun pics of guys going through some twisties on the highway.. then show maybe two pics of some bad accidents to show what happens when you act like an idiot. I have most of the stuff written down on the slide show just not much in the way of pics. ;)

I know....usually pics are taken after the bike is removed like an empty road or the wrecked bike after it has been moved somewhere else.
You might find some stuff in YouTube. I will look here too.

BTW, read about a really bad one that occured on a highway. The young rider was killed on the spot and there were bits of his "brain" spattered here and there. I accidentally saw the pic and quickly closed it cuz I felt sick.

Now where did I see THAT one?????

there is this one web site that has a collection of some really nasty images - some tolerable, others totally gruesome. i'm sure you can find it if you do a Google search for:

motorcycle safety crash death

So what do you guys think about these air bags coming out on some of the cruiser bikes? Waste of time? I don't see that they would help much..

OMG!! Ok.. I emailed a friend of mine who is a flight paramedic and she sent me some of the pics they have at the hospital.. I don't think I could show the class these pics.. I have never anything this bad before.. wow..

Ouch!!
Oh that arm is definitely broken!!
But for these kids, maybe something on the streets is better. Track, for them, may be be realistic, no?

Airbags?
Useless in my opinion.

They protect people from flying/crashing through the front glass in cagers!
But with bikes, it's not always the front you have to worry about.
And it won't stop you from flying if you had a head on collision.

One other part of the topic is riding with head phones and listening to music. Personally I don't have a problem with it IF your an expierenced rider and I have found head phones actually made for a helmet. Thoughts?

I think that will be more of a personal like/dislike. Having said that, there are people who say it's not safe to ride with loud music cuz it will cut off "sound" from the environment which can be hints of what is happening in the surroundings.

Personally, I don't like listening to music while riding for two reasons; 1) I like to be able to listen to the surroundings cuz I too, use it to make judgements and 2) prefer listening to my bike sounds.

I LOVE the exhaust and engine sound. :P
I can listen to music when I'm not riding. When riding, I want to take in the "sound" too!!

i prefer wearing earplugs over headphones with music. i'd rather reduce the outside noises (esp wind noise) rather than try to reduce it slightly and then drown it out with headphone music. plus, i feel that i can focus more on the ride when my ears aren't forced to take in so much noise.

There was a sight I saw one time that was encouraging gear use. It must have had 300 pictures of motorcycle accidents before they were cleared. At least half were fatal. But I have no idea what it was.

that's probably the same one that i'm thinking of - it starts off advocating safe motorbike riding, but then quickly goes to a slew of photographs of carnage, wreckage, blood, and gore. with no specific commentary. i'm sure i can find a link to it cuz i remember posting my own impressions of that site...
