My callertunes doesn't come on 100% of the time (a normal ring or dead air would happen instead). I called T-Mobile customer service and went through a couple people and ended up with the BLACKBERRY help line....though the supposed callertunes problem has nothing to do with a phone they say (which makes sense). So they're nice and all but they can't figure out why and asked next time it happens, I should log all that is happening at the moment (where, when, what number, what service provider, etc.) and call CC again and ask for the blackberry help line.

Basically the point of this thread is....isn't that strange? Anyway...not to drag out the inner workings of T-Mobile customer care......but if anyone has advice for my problem it would be helpful in the meantime.

Nope that is the normal information they require in order to file a trouble ticket. The tsr's can only turn caller tunes off and on to fix them, if something is failing inside, they have to submit a trouble ticket to help the engeneers find out what is going on. Now, as with any piece of tech today, their are many parts that are required in order to make them work. Without the spacific info, the engeneers don't know where to look to fix your problem. And on top of that, intermitten problms are the hardest to track down because they can't just test your phone right away to see if it works! Hope this helps!

I've noticed this has been happeining alot on accts that have had a rate plan change recently. Seems it's not refreshing the c/t and v/m... all I've had to do is delete and reinstall onto the accts. Just ask the csr if this could be the problem.... hopefully they will try it as it is not common procedure...

i haven't had a rate plan change since maybe over a year. but about a month ago i did take a person off my family account and have had these types of changes within the last year (adding numbers to the acct). I delete and reinstall what? You mean ask a csr to delete the c/t and v/m? I have no idea what that is.

He is saying have the csr remove the caller tunes feature completely from your account and then reactivate it. Sometimes the system gets buggy during a major change (such as a rate plan change or removal/addition of another line) and doesn't re-add any existing features completely.
