if u want more free minutes then u should:

call up verizon customer service and say

that u are not happy with the service u are giving me and that every other carriers has so much more features
and at n t having rollover minutes and why verizon cant offer that
so say that u want to disconnect your cell phone line

and like me if u had 700 minutes they will give u 800 minutes
so 100 minutes free

but try this on ur own risk
because i dont know how the person is that is going to pick up the phone

but the girl that pick up was actually nice

if they know anything about customer service then they will do what it takes to keep you as a customer.

personally id tell them i wanted the VPACK for free since other carriers are much easier to work with as far as adding ringtones (and sprint uses JAVA for Apps). Tell em your gonna switch to sprint for that feature and see if you can't get VPACK for free.:smart:

yea like my friend has at&t he can put ringtones from his micro sd card to his phone
so yea
but i have no other choice but verizon
and is there any way that you can tell them to unlock the ringtone thing
and thanks about the vpack because i never knew about that
and is the vpack about JAVA

no... VPACK is an addition to your plan (15 greenbacks a month) for data. If I am not mistaken, the VPACK covers text/pix/flix/and mobile web. I think you still have to pay for w/e you download with GIN (get it now) but If I am correct in my assumption, they are now billing (with the nationwide plans) for data that is transferred while browsing the GIN system. So pretty much even if you browse that stuff and do not buy anything, you get hit with data charges. By the way, Verizon uses BREW in place of Java for pretty much everything on their phones - themes, apps, etc.

Don't quote me on that quite yet though since I don't have the nationwide plan.

Depending on what phone you have, there are some applications out there that can be used to add ringtones to your phone for free. BitPim has good support for the (older firmware) Razr Phones, a good deal of Samsung and LG phones as well. Best way to find out if your phone is supported for ringtones is to pretty much browse the BitPim website and see if you can find info on that.

P2K commander can be used on motorola phones to add ringtones to the phone as well.

Either program that you use depends upon whether or not USB transfers are enabled on the phone or not. For some phones like the older firmware Razr phones, you have to do a seem edit first to enable this.

Some phones can be flashed to a generic manufacturer firmware as well. The firmwares from the manufacturers do not have things locked down like Verizon does to their phones. The ability to flash a phone depends upon a couple of things. Firstly is the ability to find the software necessary for the process as well as a flash file for your specific phone. Secondly it depends on if the flash file is designed to utilize the same type electric identifier number that your phone uses. There are different types of these. ESN and MEID are just two of them.
