Call People On Skype WHo Are Already Chatting?

I'm new to Skype and can't figure this out. I have someone on my list and I don't want to call them if they are already chatting.

If someone on my list is in a webcam chat what would I see on my screen? Is there a busy icon or in a call icon by their name or does it show like normal? Can I still call them or will it say they are busy?
 
You can't tell if they are in a call unless you IM them. Or sometimes they might have the red (-) sign by their name which means they are busy. Even if they are in a call.. and you calll them, they can hold the other call and talk to you. :)
