California high school proficiency examination?

I am looking in taking the chspe in june but i was wondering if you dont pass it can you retake it or you have to pay the fee again. And is it easy hard and what do you have to study on or which part is
hard. And where website can you study on. If you took this test please let me know how it works. Thank you
