California Gubernatorial Election 2010?

Any word on any prospective candidates? I've heard rumors of Mayor Gavin Newsom (D) of San Francisco and Meg Whitman (R), former owner/CEO/creator of eBay having plans on running, but to no avail have I been able to substantiate these rumors.

Have any other folks stepped up to the plate yet?
