Where can I find free freshwater fishing in southern california? (or saltwater if it's not overly crowded)
I want to take my girlfriend fishing, I myself have just started pier fishing and this is what sparked the interest in the two of us.
I tried taking her to the pier, but it's always too crowded and she has social anxiety, she doesn't like being around a lot of people and she didn't want to look stupid since she was still learning.
She really wants to learn and it's something we both enjoy, We can't afford fishing permits just yet, so we need somewhere we can fish for free. Distance isn't too much of a problem.
So basically what I'm looking for -
-Fresh water (or salt water if it's free and secluded)
-Not crowded
-Quiet
-Peaceful
-Good fishing spot.
-Free/No permit needed (if possible, please specify)
-Fun
-Close to Long Beach (In Los Angeles county, California)
I've looked all over google and such and have found absolutely no answers, otherwise I wouldn't bother you kind people if I could find out myself. Please help.
Time isn't an issue, neither is gas as long as it's not half way a crossed the state. Any help would be SO much appreciated. She really wants to go and we're looking to go ASAP (tonight if possible) and spend some time together and get away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles.
Please be very specific and include lots of details, you're answers mean a lot and I want to understand them as best I can.
