Today I got some papers from my ex. Apparently he filed for the divorce in March of this year. He sent me the Summons, a copy of the petition and the response that I can file. I'm a bit confused right now. Since I'm supposed to respond within 30 days and he already filed 5 months ago, does that mean if I don't respond we can get divorced next month (in CA it's after 6 months)? I wouldn't mind that by the way. Looks a bit like he's trying to trick me or something by sending me the papers 5 months after filing...?
