Calendar phone

I currently have a Treo 650 and want to get something much much smaller. The important functions to me are the ability to synch with outlook calendar, quad band, decent camera, good web access, external memory slot & it has to be either a flip or a slider.

I really like the Samsung U600 and the Sony Ericsson S500 (i like sliders), but I don't know if either of these phones have the ability to synch with outlook.

would syncing it like that require additional software or do the phones come with everything that is necessary?

If you use Bluetooth it should be easy to sync. Not as easy as Activesync, but easy. My T610 was a breeze to sync via BT.
